The New Horizons Band of Melbourne was started in Brevard County in 2003 as a part of a national organization. The band offers an educational program, including entry level, for people to come back to music who may not have played in a while. Haven't played since high school? No problem! Dust off that instrument and come join us. Although comprised of mostly older adults, the band is open to players of all ages.
As a member of the New Horizons Band, who will meet new people and practice with them to learn music for concerts and other performances in the community. We perform many times each year in venues ranging from senior centers, churches, parks and retirement homes. The New Horizon Band is comprised of both a Concert and a Jazz band. Newcomers are encouraged to visit rehearsals.
